Jamie Stewart, a law graduate, has worked in investment banking since 1986, before which he held academic positions in the UK and abroad. He also worked previously for The British Institute (Florence) and for The National Trust for Scotland (Edinburgh). He has specialised in global equities, practising in related fields ranging from Corporate Finance and Institutional Client Management rĂ´les to Equity Sales and Research.

Having worked in various research, sales and management capacities after training in financial analysis with Hill Samuel Wood Mackenzie in the mid-1980s, he specialised in Independent Research ten years ago, running the Independent Research department for Instinet (Europe) and taking up a similar role in 2002 at Eden Financial, where he is now Director, Independent Research. His professional interests focus on fundamental analysis within the broad field of global equities, and cover the majority of asset-classes and investment methodologies.

He is a Director and Trustee of various companies and on the Advisory Boards of others, having held directorships at Baring Securities, Morgan Grenfell International and Inverlat International in the past, as well as the post of Deputy Head of Capital Markets (Equities) at Raiffeisen Zentralbank, London and that of Head of Equities at Banco do Brasil Securities, London.
